Style Ankara Outfits to Slay Any Occasion!

When I went to Ghana back in January I handpicked my favorite Ankara material from the market and had a 2 piece custom outfit made by my aunt in only 2 weeks! I wanted to how my A-Team how to style a custom 2 piece 2 different ways. I’m always looking for ways to recycle outfits because due to COVID-19 I’m on a very strict budget. I’m not working full time anymore, but that’s another story for a different blog post.

Outfit #1:

I love a colorful off-shoulder top with a puffed sleeve 😍. I decided to pair this top with my favorite High waisted bell-bottom jeans to give it an African boho look. For all of my curvy thick women if you didn’t know Kohesian has all of the perfect jeans. If you're an NJ native like myself their stores are located in Woodbridge, Jersey Gardens, and Garden State Plaza malls. The jeans average from $20-$40 but these are THE ONLY, and I mean THE ONLY jeans that fit me perfectly.

Outfit #2

This outfit is my favorite of the two because this is my favorite bralette from Sorella boutique (a woman black-owned business.) You know I’m always going to stan for my queens! The skirt also is high-waisted (my favorite trend I can’t get enough of, if it isn’t high-waisted I don’t want to wear it.) this outfit gives me sexy but trendy. If a bralette is too much for you throwing a leather jacket on the top will have you looking really cute too!
